You can permanently delete your Watch My Baby account and all associated data at any time. We provide two ways to do this: directly from the app, or by submitting a request via email.
Before you start: Account deletion is permanent after a 30-day grace period. If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account — Watch My Baby cannot refund or cancel store-managed subscriptions on your behalf.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- 1Open the Watch My Baby app and sign in.
- 2Go to Settings from the bottom navigation bar.
- 3Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
- 4Confirm the deletion when prompted. Your account is marked for deletion immediately.
- 5Within 30 days you can sign back in and tap Cancel deletion to recover your account. After 30 days all data is permanently erased.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, send an email from the address linked to your account to:
Subject line: Account Deletion Request. Include the email address used to register so we can verify the request. We will confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Account credentials (email, password, OAuth tokens)
- Baby profiles (name, date of birth, gender, photo)
- Family member relationships and share codes
- Sleep, nutrition, vaccination, and growth records
- Cry analysis recordings and results
- Photo analysis uploads and results
- Chat conversations with the AI assistant
- In-app credit ledger and consumption history
What we may retain (legal & financial obligations)
- Subscription receipts and tax records — Retained for the period required by tax law (typically 5 years), held by our payment processors (Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat). These records contain only purchase metadata, not your personal profile.
- Aggregated, anonymised analytics — Counts of feature usage that cannot be linked back to an individual.
- Backups — Encrypted database backups are rotated within 90 days; deleted records remain in backup snapshots until the snapshot expires.
Timeline
- Immediately: account is marked for deletion, you are signed out of all devices, and your data is hidden from the app.
- Within 30 days: you can recover the account by signing in again and choosing Cancel deletion.
- After 30 days: all data listed above is permanently removed from production databases. Backups expire within 90 days.
